Day 1 & 2

USA - Tel Aviv

Depart from U.S. for our overnight flight to Tel Aviv. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board. We will arrive in Tel Aviv the day after we depart the U.S. In Tel Aviv, we will celebrate Mass, have lunch and transfer by chartered motorcoach to the Grand Beach Hotel for dinner and overnight. Before retiring for the evening, we can walk to the beach and enjoy an evening under the stars while relaxing on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

Day 3

Tel Aviv - Caesarea Maritima - Haifa - Stella Maris - Mount Carmel - Tiberias

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Caesarea Maritima, the harbor built by Herod the Great, where we will visit the Amphitheater, the Crusader Fortress and the Aqueduct. It was from this harbor that the apostles sailed to evangelize the world. After lunch, we will travel to Haifa to visit Stella Maris, the ancient Carmelite monastery dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Our priests will celebrate Holy Mass in the church which is built over the cave where Elijah lived. And each pilgrim will have an opportunity to be invested with the brown scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. We will travel to our hotel in Nazareth on the coast of the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Tabgha - Primacy of Peter - Sea of Galilee - Capernaum

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Tabgha, where the multiplication of fish and loaves occurred and the Primacy of Peter where Jesus appeared to His disciples after the Resurrection and appointed Simon Peter to the office of the Primacy with the words "Feed my sheep". It is here, that our priests will celebrate Holy Mass near the shore of the Sea of Galilee. After lunch, we will sail across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum where Jesus began his public ministry and visit the synagogue which dates to the time of Jesus and the site of Peter's home.... and stand just a short distance from the excavated doorway that Jesus stood in when he cured Peter's mother-in-law. At dusk, we will board the fishing boat again, setting sail for Tiberias. We will spend three hours in Eucharistic Adoration and a Healing Prayer service with our priests on the fishing boat, crossing the Sea of Galilee in the dark. Just imagine spending three hours with Our Lord listening to the very waters that he walked upon. We will enjoy a late dinner upon return to our hotel in Nazareth.

Day 5

Mount Tabor - Cana - Nazareth

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we will depart by motorcoach for Mount Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus before Peter, John and James, where our priests will celebrate Holy Mass at the Basilica of the Transfiguration and we can reflect on the divinity and humanity of Jesus Christ... and begin to prepare our hearts for the eventual trip into Jerusalem and the remembrance of the Passion. Lunch will follow at a local restaurant where you can enjoy the traditional "Fish of St. Peter" if you wish. Then on to Cana where we will visit the church and site of the Wedding of Cana where Jesus changed the water into wine at the bequest of His mother and we can meditate on how we too can "do whatever he tells you". And, our priests will perform a marriage blessing for couples wishing to participate. Then on to Nazareth to visit the Basilica of the Annunciation where the Angel Gabriel visited Mary in the solitude of silence. Very close by, we will visit the Church of St. Joseph built over the cave which served as his workshop where he taught the child Jesus his trade. Then we will return to the hotel in Nazareth for dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Mount of Beatitudes - River Jordan - Dead Sea - Jericho

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for the Mount of Beatitudes where our priests will celebrate Holy Mass at an outdoor altar overlooking the Sea of Galilee. Then on to the site of Jesus' baptism at the River Jordan.. where you can renew your baptismal promises as our priests dip the waters of the Jordan over your head.. or you might choose complete immersion in the river (the site will have baptismal gowns available for purchase that you can wear over your swimsuit or shorts and a t-shirt). Afterwards, we will continue on to the shores of the Dead Sea where we will have lunch and then enjoy a 'float' in the salty waters... you may even choose to cover your body with the mud from the bottom of the Dead Sea.... quite a sight, but great for your skin. From there, we will drive to Jericho, visiting the sycamore tree where Christ spoke with Zacchaeus the tax collector, before heading to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Mount of Temptations – Ein Karem – Church of the Visitation and Church of St John the Baptist

This morning after breakfast at the hotel, we will ascend the Temple Mount by cable car, site of the temptation during Christ's 40 days in the dessert. You can enjoy the panoramic view from the rest stop or you may choose to attempt the tough climb up to the monastery built in the side of the mountain. After lunch we will head to Ein Karem, the "city of Judah" associated with the life of St. John the Baptist. Here we will visit the Church of John the Baptist (built over the site of his birth) and the Church of the Visitation, where Elizabeth first greeted Mary, the Mother of her Lord, and Our Lady first prayed the Magnificat. Our priests will celebrate Holy Mass at the Church of the Visitation. Dinner and overnight at the Grand Court hotel in Jerusalem where we will stay until the end of our pilgrimage.

Day 8

Bethlehem - Jerusalem - Bethany

After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Bethlehem where we will have an opportunity to visit the Church of the Nativity. Here you can kneel and reverence the very spot where the Christ Child was born. Our priests will celebrate Holy Mass at the Basilica of the Nativity. Afterwards, we can walk to the Grotto of the Lady Mary where tradition holds that Mary and Joseph stopped during the flight to Egypt. This site is special to all parents struggling with fertility and praying for the blessing of children. We will also visit Shepherd's Field where the angels announced the birth of the Christ Child to the shepherds. Back to Jerusalem to begin exploring... over the next couple of days, we will visit Mount Zion, the Church of the Dormition of Mary, the Cenacle (Upper Room), the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu where Peter denied Jesus three times. And we will travel to Bethany where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.

Day 9

Jerusalem - Mount of Olives - Dominus Flavis - Chapel of the Ascension - Pater Noster Church - Garden of Gethsemane

After breakfast, we will resume exploring Jerusalem, visiting the Mount of Olives and Dominus Flavis where Jesus wept over Jerusalem and the chapel of the Ascension. Our priests will celebrate Holy Mass at the Church of Pater Noster where Christ taught His disciples to pray the Our Father. That evening after dinner, our priests will lead us in a private Holy Hour in the Church in the Garden of Gethsemane where you can kneel and pray at the very stone where Christ wept the night before he died.

Day 10

Via Dolorosa - Church of the Holy Sepulcher - Wailing Wall - St. Anne's - Pool of Bethesda

We will start out very early this morning, so that we can walk the Via Dolorosa (Way of the Cross) before dawn and enjoy the quiet and the darkness as we reflect on the Passion. We will return to the hotel for breakfast and then visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher where our priests will celebrate Holy Mass at the altar next to the site of the Crucifixion of Christ. Here, you will have an opportunity to kneel in reverence and place your hand in the very hole where Christ's cross was placed in the ground on Good Friday. You may also want to purchase precious oils to wipe the stone where Christ was anointed before his burial. We will also enter the tomb where Christ was buried... it is from this same spot that he was resurrected that first Easter morn. After lunch, we will visit the Wailing Wall, the only remaining remnant of the Temple in Jesus' time. Later we will visit the Church of St. Anne and the Pool of Bethesda.

Day 11

Jerusalem - Emmaus

Today we will visit Notre Dame hotel where we will have a tour of a replica of the Shroud of Turin and the face of Jesus.
